Call for Proposals
Djangonauts from in and around Denmark are meeting up for the sixth edition of Django Day, to be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026. It will be a full day of talks, followed by an evening of social events.
Come and meet your local and excellent community and share with them. Tell us about your idea and your contribution to make this a great day.
The event will accommodate 50-100 people physically and be streamed live and recorded for additionally larger audiences. The program will accommodate talks that are at different levels and a wide variety.
We encourage all local Django users and developers to submit! We do not encourage nor discourage travel. We want people to decide for themselves what they can and cannot afford. It’s possible to get support for shorter travel (see below).
Dear first-time speaker ποΈ
First time doing a talk? We want you to submit! It is very understandable and encouraged to ask questions when preparing your talk, please don’t hesitate to write cfp@django-denmark.org.
- Django Day Copenhagen is made for first-time speakers, it’s part of the event’s purpose.
- Is English not your first language? Neither is it ours/our’s/ours’! Mistakes are especially welcome from people who may not have a lot of experience with public speaking.
- Want to practice your talk? We have a great community of speakers who can help you practice your talk before the event.
- Should my idea be unique/novel/advanced? No, that’s not a requirement: There are many subjects that can be presented in a new way. If you find your talk important, so may others.
Formats π
We are looking for:
- 25 minute talks
- 5 minute lightning talks (can be submitted on the day)
- Other formats are welcome! We encourage submissions in all formats, and will work with speakers to ensure their presentation fits within the schedule.

- How are YOU using Django?
- Django internals and challenges in modern web development.
- Wild ideas, clever hacks, surprising or cool use cases.
- Improving Django and Python developers’ lives.
